U.S. Storm Shelters - Recent NEWS:
>> Severe Weather & Tornadoes Bring Destruction Across Central & Southern States
A strong line of storms brought damaging, in some cases deadly, tornadoes with it this weekend.
This weekend, powerful thunderstorms ranging through the central and southern states of the U.S. brought dangerous tornadoes with them, and the threat of more to come as storm season progresses. The severe weather was culprit of destruction and property damage, as well as five reported deaths in weather-related incidents.
In Texas, storm season approaches. On the 20th of February, two EF0 tornadoes, with maximum wind speeds of 80 MPH, touched down in Johnson County. Damaging as many as five homes and leaving one victim in critical condition, the tornadoes left destruction in their wake as well as a reminder that there is more to come as we enter tornado season in Texas. In DeSoto, a city south of Dallas, another EF0 tornado was reported to have damaged thirty homes, though thankfully no injuries or deaths have been reported.
It is never too early to prepare for the next storm. Many can forget how important it is to have a plan in place until the sirens have sounded, and they realize they don't have one. A storm shelter can provide security and peace of mind when it comes to tornadoes like nothing else can, and it's always a good idea to get a jump on tornado season.
